Hi.  I'm Beth, 1/2 of RaeLeePhotography.

I've been a photographer for 6 years now. I love landscapes.  I love weddings.  and I LOVE children.

I'm of the mind that I like "natural" photos.  I don't do alot of posing...I'd rather catch the subject as they naturally are...doing what they naturally do. and while I do some touch ups in photoshop, ..maybe taking out a stray hair or straightening the horizon if it calls for it, taking out blemishes...I do NOT take the photo and totally change it in photoshop.  There is a place for those photos, and it aint in my head or in my shop. I do not like overly manipulated photos.  so maybe it's a bit blurry...maybe it;s not centered correctly....maybe everyone isn't smiling...I like them to be natural.  That's my motto:  Natural is Better!!  (unless you're talking about my hair color, and then its a whole new ball game baby!)

I've been married for 21 years.  To the same man!  YES!  We have 5 kids.  3 boys and 2 girls.  and I also have 3 grand babies.  and they are the loves of my life.  I also have a very very spoiled little dog, named Murphy.  You'll be hearing about him alot, I'm sure.  ;)

So my cousin Alyson and I were talking.  and we found out that we have many many things in common.  Like "Twilight Zone" in common.  she's much much younger than I am...ahem...and while we played alot as children, we lost touch over the years.  And through the magic that is Facebook, we hooked up again.  And found out that we are both photographers...with very very similar styles in shooting. So, low and behold!  RaeLee Photography was born in a little coffee shop, The Mocha House.

And this blog will be about our journey to greatness.  ;)  Our success and well as our failures.  How we do the marketing..how we come up with ideas..how we come up with photo props that wont break the bank...and of course, some of our amazing photos.  :)

RaeLee consists of Alyson and Beth.  Two women passionate about photography, who came together to view the world in a unique way.  And the fact that we are cousins is just a bonus.  ;)

This is our journey and we welcome you to take it with us.  From the first meetings, to the first clients, to the first disaster!
